Had an issue with my aerator pump and recirculating pump just turning off for some reason. Happened Saturday and I caught it early and thought I may have bumped the power switch or something. However it happened again today and the power switch was still on but both pumps were off. As soon as I hit the buttons they turned right back on but it was like they were never on.

Any ideas on a resolution would helpful, cost a us a fish today that couldn’t recover.

My 2021 Cougar did that, I tightened the battery connections in the bilge and it fixed it. The pumps were switching off and the gas tank selector would go back to the left tank. The gang terminal on the positive side was vibrating loose enough to interrupt power when I started the motor.

Thanks, I’ll check those this evening and the ground terminals because it seems like the touch pad works fine until it just resets at some point throughout the day.

ChrisCox, this is usually a connection issue on the main cranking battery. It’s often resolved by adding a small copper washer to each of the main cranking battery terminal post, be sure it is against the post for improved connections.

I checked all the positive and negative connections last night, everything was tight and no corrosion was present. I then went to the filters for the recirculating/aerator pumps. We have had a massive mayfly hatch the last couple weeks and this is what I found. I’m guessing the filter became clogged to the point water couldn’t pass through possibly turning the pumps off, however the breaker never tripped. Either way, I’ll try them tonight during an evening tournament and see if that fixes it.

Sorry we didn’t mention that one. Yes, there are screens on the Premium series models.

We don’t know of another brand that filters the water, both coming in and through the livewell system.
