So my boat has had shocks for the rod lockers that are 11″ extended. They dont seem to allow the door to open all the way, also they are worn out and dont hold the doors up. Could a guy use a shock that is 12″ extended to gain that extra length? I just want to make sure when compressed itll allow the lid to fully close. Anyone have experience in swapping these out?
