i am tired of looking through posts of boats that have already been sold and i missed out on the boat i wanted and i need to get into one in the next week or two and i am not looking to spend over 34K for one at this moment. if you have one for sale please email me at cwoodfishing@gmail.com thanks.BCB added: there are several boats just a smidge above your requested ticket price. You should be able to find one in a 2009 or newer, with warranty, that will fit the bill. You may have to bump the price you desire to pay some as used BCB models are in demand and good ones dont last long if the seller markets them well. The ones that are not moving well are due to poorer marketing and posting knowledge. So demand is creating a moderate seller market with some buyer market.Last edited by crwood on March 10th, 2011, 3:48 am, edited 3 times in total.
Tim Chandler has a nice 09 Puma FTD listed and youre not too far off from his asking price. Heres the link:http://basscatowners.yuku…ed-by-Mercury-250-Pro-XSYou may also want to check http://impactfishing.com as Phil lists lots of Cats for sale.
already made an offer and he said no thanks
i should also add that i am only interested in boats with mercs or yamahas. i look at phils site all the time but have not seen anything on there recently that i was interested in.
would also settle for an 09 puma but not interested in a cougar adv
Sorry to see your frustration. I am sure you will find one but at that price point with those motors and your likely electronics desires you are really asking for someone that didnt pay much for the boat new. To get in that price range you will likely be looking at a BRP product or a little wait for the right thing to come along with a fair number of hours on the motor. As you know now is the time for your best opportunities to appear and no doubt youll get what you want with more time.C.O.D. Jr. III

i am not so much worried about electronics. i can get the electronics i want after i buy a boat. the only reason i am in such as rush, as you can probably figure, is that the fishing season has started up and i am currently using a loaner boat from a friend. I have talked to the seller mentioned above and he isnt willing to budge on that price. one of my friends that fished the womens bassmaster tour has her 08 puma for sell for the same price so if i decide to go that route i will get hers, but i would prefer to get an 09 simply for warranty reasons. the only reason that i am looking for what i am in that price range is because i have seen it many times over, but at the time i hadnt sold my boat yet. my boat is now gone and i have the money to get another one but i think some ppl are so upside down in their loans on their boats that they are asking more than they should, plus the banks will currently only give you about 70-80% of the used boats loan value.
Low NADA book on an 09 Cougar FTD with a Merc 250 is around 38,000, I dont think its a case of people asking more than they should. I think the market has woken up from winter, there appear to be a lot more people looking than last year, but Im not in a position to know if theyre buying or not. BCB just posted a couple non current 09s, thats how I bought my new one last year and still got 5 years warranty. If you want a boat “right now” I think your going to have to compromise on year or model to find your price. Spring is in the air and the fire sale boats have already found homes. Becky has Ikes 08 or 09 listed on their site. Mike
yeah and the people who posted their boats for sale last year for that price are still sitting on them. like i said the banks will at most only loan about 80% of a used boats value which would mean they would give 30,400 for a 38,000 boat. you can get the full loans through dealerships but the interests rates are ridiculously high. i sat on my boat for two years before it finally sold because i was innitially asking close to the nada value. i finally sold it to a guy for a good deal and was able to get a little more than what the dealership was willing to give me on trade. there are plenty of boats out there in my year and price range but they are not bass cats. i am not going to settle for anything less than a cat, but at the same time if i dont have a boat i cant fish and if i cant fish i might as well quit living.
