Looking for fist BassCat for son and myself

I am looking for my first boat and want a BassCat. I have admired them since I was privileged to have a friend in collage with one. My son will be a HS freshman this year and has really caught the fishing bug. He wants to join the school fising team and start competing. I am happy to feed his desire as we will get to spend more time together. I was hoping you folks could make some suggestions on which models I should be looking at? Our home lake is Conroe and I need something to carry three for HS tournaments. I am looking at the used market and would like to keep cost under $25k. I appreciate yalls input.

Check with William at Bowden marine in Humble and see if he knows or has one. Pantera 2 with 200hp would be a good fit.GeorgeGeorge

You also could look for a Pantera Classic which is similar to the P2 in size. You could find one with all bells and whistles to make it almost identical to the P2. They do not have the same hulls and top cap but would be adequate for your needs. Good luck with your search. Keep looking in the “Basscats for Sale” forum and you will have a very good chance of finding a nice used boat.Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

William Bowden has a nice 2006 used Sabre for sale. Go take a look at it. And it wont come close to breaking the bank!

Thanks Phil. I actually spoke with William earlier this afternoon and the Sabre has a deposit on it. He has my contact info, so maybe something will turn up soon.

I posted on the Texas Fishing forum also but if Bowden doesnt have what youre looking for call Andrew YBarbo at Ross Motorsports in Lufkin. Great guys also that do a lot of business. Plus, you can go out on Rayburn to try it out and fish out of it.Im going to be on Conroe the next day or two, maybe both days, so if you ever want a ride in my Eyra let me know. I live on Rayburn and have a 2008 Puma, so if you cant hook up with C about riding in his on Conroe, try and get in touch with me for a ride.
