I am in need of a Lowrance 3000 GPS antenna with the cables. I though that maybe someone may have an extra or one that was removed from a boat. Its for a LCX 28 that I was able to pick up fresh from Lowrance…I also have a skimmer transducer for sale from this unit……its new and has never been used….$50.00 or will trade plus cash towards a shoot through ducer with remote temp.
Skimmer is the rounded bottom transducer that comes with a shelf retail unit for install. The pod type you are looking for may have to have a pigtail to connect it and use a newer transducer. BCB
I was lucky enough to talk to one of the guys who does on water testing for lowrance. He said the skimmer ducer was the best for the troller because when pushing water it doesnt create the cavitation disturbance like the pod type. He said you would really notice the difference in shallow water. Would be less blinking ………(loss of bottom signal)……… This guy knew his stuff. Didnt mean to intrude. Just thought I would pass this on. Glynn
I had read that somewhere too. I have it mounted with a WeeVee guard and also used the same set up on my Skeeter when I had it. I never had a problem with it and it always worked very well for me. The two items I need are the 3000 antenna and I also need to get the thru hull transducer with the remote temp.
