I am currently selling a 1987 Grand National and I have an offer but the party wants to pay with PayPal. I was wondering if anybody can advise me on the pros or cons of using Paypal when selling an item. The other part of this transaction that concerns me is that the party has offered me full price plus $100 without even looking at the vehicle. Should I have any other concerns?Sorry this was not a Bass Cat question. But when I purchased my Sabre I promised my wife that I would sell my car. Just not enough room in the garage for both and her car .Thanks
Scam. Steer clear. PaPal is ok for deposits or small items but wire transfer is the only way to go. He could back out or dispute PayPal. Once a wire is sent its gone. Cant be undone.
This is definitely a scam. The same thing happened to me when I was selling my boat. Got a e-mail that this person wanted to pay full asking price and even more if I would take Pay Pal. He didnt even want to look at the boat first. I have used Pay Pal for several transactions and have had no problem but I wasnt about to give this guy my Pay Pal account info. I could smell this scam as soon as I got the e-mail from him. Tell the guy that you will only take cash and you will never hear from him again.
