Looking for some opinions on the new Caracal

I presently have a 2012 Cougar Advantage Elite with a ProXS 225. Ive been very happy with the boat. The two changes that I would like to make are on the new Caracal. I would liketo have a bigger front deck and would like the option to move the troll motor pedal back, which the Caracal has both. I also like the middle rod box on the Caracal. My question is, howmuch bigger is the deck on the Caracal and what size graphs will fit in the console of the Caracal. It appears to hold 2 graphs. The only concern I have about the Caracal is only havingone dry storage box on the rear deck. I appreciate everyones comments. I think that the Caracal may be the perfect boat for me. I live up in Maine and will not be able to see one inperson.

If I ever get mine I will gladly let you know !The Caracal IS the perfect boat imho, it has all that you mentioned, plus deeper hull, day box, and standard boarding ladder. The cockpit feels larger than other models, and the seats are a tad more reclined, which I like. the boat has more options than I can mention off hand and is easily personalized to suit different users needs. I hope to add more input soon, as my rig should be near completion.

The Caracal has the 2nd largest front deck in the line up behind the Jaguar. Its wide………very wide. As far as electronics on the console, it will flush mount any size electronics you wish. The lower right will mount electronics up to 7″. It is here that at the dealer meeting they were used for gauges. However, doesnt have to be and can be used in conjunction with the upper to anything you want. The lower left electronics can be left off and you can choose to place regular gauges or anything else there.This boat is well thought out and I wouldnt worry too much about the storage on the back deck. There is plenty of storage throughout the boat to store what you wish.Lastly, best riding 19 boat in its class and likely the fastest. Typical top end speed for most will be 74-77 depending on load and driver input.If you think the Caracal might be the perfect boat for you, then I know that it would be! Good luck!

I am pretty sure that there are 2 storage areas on the back deck. One large behind driver and one a little smaller behind passenger.Man that front deck is huge!George

The left storage has a drop in box full depth, or you can place a short tray above Power Pole pumps.

Wish the one in Shawnee Ok would hurry and show up at dealer so I can see one in person!! They said end of Oct first of Nov. Hurry please! Ha Ha. Looking at it and couple other brands. What do u mean drop in box? Would it be dry box that is removable or what?

hey I like it!! Sweet. The one coming to Shawnee is about that color and I didnt think id like white but that is sharp!!
