Thinking of buying a new boat soon and few questions . Right now I have a 2005 puma with a 225 merc and have been very happy with the boat and was planning to get a new puma . However the Eyra has caught my eye as well . I am not a speed freak as all of the lakes I fish other than champlain have speed limits . I am more interested in the fish ability of the Eyra Vs a Puma . I figure I could save a few $$ going with a 225 on a Eyra rather than a 250 on a puma . Speaking of a 250 Mercury is there any difference in a 250 vs a 250 pro XS as I see most 20ft boats I see now have the XS ,thanks

I recently got the chance to drive a new Eyra and to go through all of the compartments. it is a great handling boat and the compartment and seating setup are first rate! ( I am current Puma owner). The front deck is great to fish from. I would suggest that you check one out in person before coming to a decision.

What money you could save on a 250 vs a 225 you will make back on resale in the future plus more. And didnt even know there was such a thing as a standard 250 Mercury. Again, lose in the long run if you dont choose a Pro XS. I doubt BCB evens sells a standard 250 Mercury! Fishability of an Eyra vs Puma………..personal choice.

didnt think there was such thing as a standard 250 just though I would ask . not worried about resale as nearing retirement soon and this boat will be my last
