As I was tying down my boat ( 95 Pantera II) I noticed the bow eye was very loose. I tightened the outside nuts to get everything snug and towed it home with no issues. I was able to remove one of the plastic covers ( 2″ plug where a depth finder used to be) on the front of the boat and could see 1 of the nuts on the inside but couldnt tell much other than there was about 1/2 ” of threads showing through the nut. Couldnt tell the condition of the inside washer/plate, if there is one. Not wanting to panic but with everything snug I have 1″ of threads showing on the rear part of the eye, on the outside. Have 3/4″ showing on the front side, outside. Is this normal? If I need to replace something is there any easy way to access the inside?
