My hot foot on my 03 P3 came loose again today. The threads in the floor are not in good shape. 3n adhesive helped last time, but it is time for a real fix. Should I take up the carpet and re-glass it? Or? Thanks. Bill

Absolutely seal the holes with a resin compound. Do you have a slider plate? This is the only recommended mount system by BCB. They then drill each hole and inject resin into the hole and on the threads hand tightening them in the predrilled holes.

BCB – yes it has a slider, but not all the mounting holes were used as designed. There is a hole drilled in the hotfoot, and thus the floor, adjacent to where the throttle cable connects, but it is evident that it not original. The mounting plate came loose the first time I took it out (just got it this spring), and after a fix where the screws did thread in and “bite”, I am in worse shape now. With respect to the carpet, should I cut a section out to fill resin in the holes that are there? I will post pics of the mount tomorrow if it will help.Thanks,bill

Just be sure to seal the existing holes. Then remounting with hand tightened screws and resin set those screws.
