Today I lost water psi on my gage (06 Puma 250xs) About 4100rpm, had trimmed up high to run skinny water. Smartcraft psi was about 2.5 at idle in gear. Could it have sucked air and lost reading on gage? Also lost reading on smartcraft and gage both while at idle in gear in shallow water (2) Each time water was coming from the motor p hole, temp normal, no smartcraft warnings, ,, Top 3 water intake holes are plugged. It is quite possible you just had the engine to high…or it could also be an indication that it might be time for a water impeller change, especially if you have ran like that before without loss. Sand and mud can be hard on an impeller. Good luck. Judd Lasiter

It sounds like you plugged it up briefly with trash, silt, sand or mud. If you have a water pressure reading, check your temp reading to be sure you have similar temperatures. If you are running hotter than you were at similar temps outside and surface temperatures, then we would replace the impeller on the water pump. BCB

Thanks all, will change it soon.. A lot of good fishing up the creeks of the river now but lack of rain makes it tough to get there some times. I do know that this rig can pass in 15″ of water,(with tm) but I did have light load…..Thanks Jerry
