I went out fishing the other day for the first time in about 6 months and my dash lowrance wasnt reading depth. It was flashing on 60 ft and continued this for sometime. A little later that day it was starting to read but was still the depth was flashing and the contour wasnt showing. I think im going to have to check the connection in the back of the unit, but has anybody had this happen to them. The boat is garage kept so being in harsh weather conditions is a problem. Thanks for any feed back

We have not seen any repetitive issues that indicate a problem with the unit. It sounds like it is needing to be master reset. Someone at Lowrance or perhaps on this board can give you the Master Reset combination, we dont have that. Be sure you save your way points on a SD Card before you master reset. BCB

Reset the Unit Sometimes resetting your unit can solve unusual display issues. Here is a list of Reset Procedures for Lowrance products. Locate the one that applies to the model you own. Try a Soft Reset first, this will return your settings to factory defaults Turn unit off. Press and hold the pages key and the power key a the same time. Release both buttons when the USA map apears. This might help. It want hurt anything. Glynn

IF the reset does not work, then we point to transducer next. You can try a new puck held by hand in the water to check it.

Thanks for the information. Hope its as easy as a reset. Everything else on the unit ,gps, temp, etc is fine so i was thinking it might be something easy as this, ist a 08 FTD Cougar with not alot of time used and it was fine the last time out. I work in N.Y. 3wks on and 3 wks off and live on Toledo Bend so this time in im going to be on the lake everyday as all my honey dos are caught up with.
