Looks like there are 4 Pros running the Lynx this year.John Crews with a V-Rod, departed the Eyra. Should be an interesting change for him.Brandon Card with a Suzuki.Paul Elias with a Honda.Gerald Spohrer with a Suzuki.Total of 12 Pros running BCBs!!
My observations – There are a lot of Bass Cats this year! There are very few rudes (think I counted 4) and a bunch of Suzukis. Way more V-rods and a lot fewer MG trolling motors. SHO seems to of held its ground. And there will be two Xpress tin rigs this year. Still love Kennedys wrap.
By my count only 15-16 (not sure on Horton) are running MotorGuides. With 109 guys on tour, its not a good look for Motorguide to put it kindly.
How does the percentage of boat and motor brands compare to those in the market place.

But these are the Elite numbers.Ranger – 27Triton – 21Phoenix – 18Nitro – 14Skeeter – 14Bass Cat – 12Xpress – 2Falcon – 1Blazer – 1From my own opinion I would say:Winners: Phoenix and Bass cat, Most Elite boats per market share.Losers: Nitro and Skeeter. Least amount of Elite boats per market share.

ROI in an elite pro harder to pick than any stock or horse. Companies DECLINE tons of guys every year. If kvd switched to another boat wed all assume he did so over a check not a boat preference(so retail buying habits largely unaffected). Smart companies balancing cost v risk v exposure on all these boys and its a fickle market. 15 more boats sponsored is $1,000,000 in cashflow you just decided to take a minimally secured IOU on. LIke the stock market the cheaper small caps got a lot more bang for buck if you can hit it!
Normally I would agree, but these boats are not usually given (free) to the Pros.Express boats just got in BASS, but the price of that 21 foot aluminum boat runs very close to a glass boat.I do believe exposure (Pro) is important to a brand, but only to a certain degree will it effect a buyers choice in that brand.
Either way, the companies have some investment in each boat and are banking on their sponsorship swaying customers. It has to be a bid deal for a company like Falcon to have one of their boats out there. I bet there are a lot of fishermen that have never heard of them until now and they will at least give them a look. Im surprised at the number of Phoenix boats. I am new to the world of bass boats, so they may be bigger than I thought. My impression is that they are taking a hard run and capturing more market share and are banking on taking some of the Legend market. If they are successful in doing so then they will really capitalize on the investment. If they dont, we may discussing another builder buyout.

Aint worth having more than 12 of any of em

I dont know squat about the companies earnings and overhead, but it does leave me wondering and a bit uneasy.I am interested to see how the Lynx performs and fishes as a professional tournament rig, especially with the 250hp.Crews perspective will be interesting after using the Eyra for years.
