Mad as all get out!!!!!!

Yesterday I went to the lake for a couple hours. As usual I stop to fill up the boat after fishing. After filling the boat I realized I need gas in the truck. Went in to pay and get a cake. I looked out and seen a truck backed up close to the boat. The truck left. In walked by the boat and the truck had hit my boat. It hit on the rub rail and cracked the gel coat about 6″ long. I was the only one at the pump so I could not get a tag number. The lady at the store did not recognize the truck. Now I have the fix a 6″ crack in my gel coat. Some people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the way it is a 1993 Pantea II. The gel coat is white so should not be too hard to fix. Just makes me so mad I cant see straight. How much do you think it will coat to fix? I think I can fix it myself.

Sorry to hear of your frustration on your rig. Obviously you have quite a bit of pride in that 93 P2 model. Great to see! Unfortunately this is the most common occurrance for stress fractures in the side of a boat. The boat does not show a dent and people drive off without realizing that they have damaged the boat. People contact us quite frequently and have a similar issue, often thinking they have a boat issue. You would not imagine how often this occurs. Best of luck on the discovery. BCB

Yeah I went in and asked if the had video. They did not. The crack is above to rub line. I think I can fix it myself.

Did the other truck get gas and possibly pay w/ a credit card? You know what time it occurred based on your receipt. It is worth checking. Good luck.

If it was a debit/credit card you can get there name and address too. best of luck

I wouldnt think that a company/store could give out name/address from someone elses debit/credit card. Seems like some kind of privacy issue would be involved. Sorry that it happened though….96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner

most people are creatures of habit, IE..stake out the gas station for a while and its possible the person will be back in there
