Has anyone ever had or heard of a manual jack plate throwing a motor off of verticle alignment on the boat?? My jack plate seems to be about 1/8 () off when measured from the top of the slide plate (not the fixed) to the top of the transom. Is there any way to correct this? Thanks,

Cant speak for your boat, but the correct alignment has to do with the bottom of the boat and the motor centerline. You want a line drawn from the center of the cowl at the top, thru the skeg on the bottom, to be at a 90 degree angle to a line drawn horizontally across the boat that represents a real horizontal center line. IE chine-to-chine or something similar. 1/8″ at the jack plate turns into 3/8″ at the skeg. Not that serious an issue.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Do you have a Slidemaster?Mine was off a quarter from one side to another but the factory said it happens sometimes and it would not hurt me in performance.My port side is above flush and the starboard side is even flush

I do not mean to sound like I am not level headed but I have no idea on where I am supposed to place the floor jack with a board. Are you talking about under the skeg? Is there any way I can put a little more pressure to one side try to level it out? Just by looking at it the rollers and bushings look in good shape. I loosened the large bolts (2) on each side of the plate and raised the motor about 3/4-in with the adjustment bolt on the bottom then lowered it back to where it originally was but it made no difference. I have run the boat like it is and did not notice any performance issues. It just does not look right by seing the motor in a slightly tilted position. Thanks

You will never notice it in performance of a stock rig.
