My self and several others are new Bass Cat owners of used boats. I, and probably others didnt get the manuals for live wells, general boat info (fuse location, wiring schematics, and the like). Same for the trailer. Is there a place we can go to down load and print or order hard copies?
There are no manuals for the boat or trailer, per se. This forum takes the place of an owners manual. Just ask any questions you have about any of the things you mentioned and someone from BCB or other owners will jump right in and help you out.
ShodacKbassman,Congrats on purchasing a cat. You can be assured you will be well satisfied. Actually this forum is your manual for everything concerning your boat. A combination of owners, BassCat employees, and even Rick himself sometimes are here to answer any question you may have. I consider it a much better source of information than could ever be printed on paper. You will find that questions are answered really quickly by people who know these boats. I hope this answers your question. Have fun in your Cat!Thanks,Todd Witt
Be sure to check out topics in the FAQ section. Most owners manuals are really generic with the first half relating to safety and really trying to cover the liability of the manufacturer. We decided to use this board to address the needs of each individual owner. Please do visit the FAQ section and search the site for the information your looking for. BCB
Ok, works for me. I just felt funny asking so many questions. I have gone through the FAQ section and found answers to most of my questions.Have a couple quick questions on my 07 Classic. I was just playing around in the driveway (little cold upstate NY yet) with the live well switch. Its set on pump out at the moment, when I tried to move the lever it wouldnt move. My old boat was manual valve (fill or empty) on a cable so it moved at will. Is the BC controls electronic and needs power to work? I havent really read what all the setting do yet for the live wells but from reading other posts, I know there are settings for fill, recirculation, etc. I assume the buttons will tell me what is what. Is there more I should know? I see there is a master switch too which I assume shuts everything off independent of the key/ignition. Right now thats all the questions I have on the boat, sure Ill have more once I can get on the water which is weeks away Im afraid.Re trailer. No questions yet. I can say it is the nicest thing Ive ever towed. I picked it up in suburbs of Boston and came down the highway to get on to the Mass. pike and as always, there was traffic. Trailer easy to control and I was comfortable with it in less then 15 minutes. Great design. First trailer Ive had with brakes and I loved it. It was like the rig wasnt even there which lead me to speeds up to 75 when I wasnt paying attention. Tried to keep around 70 to be safe. The mag wheels are cool and get as many comments as the boat btw. Anyway, thank you for your help. Im so looking forward to getting out on the water. If anyone on here coming to fish southern Lake Champlain in the Ft Ti area, feel free to contact me regarding present conditions. Im usually up there every other weekend May to November.Brian
No the lever does not need power, but being as you said it is cold up there I wonder if maybe the valve is frozen. And if you look on the home page under the parts/accessories tab you should find the manual for your dash. Last edited by 1stinLA on March 27th, 2010, 4:57 am, edited 1 time in total.
I am wishing to replace all my gas lines lines and clean my fuel rail and injector. How can I order the parts for the fuel hoses. Also how do I remove the fuel tank do to floating corrosion on top and the bottom?
One of my compression reading is down to 105 what can I do to bring it back up.
That sounds like a power issue on the piston rings.
Holy cow, this is a blast from the past. I started this thread when I first bought my Classic over a decade ago. Was a great boat and I just sold it last spring and moved up to a 2020 Caracal. This has been as good of a experience that I had expected after reading about Bass Cat starting in 2009. That Classic was a lot of fun and turned out to be great timing. Got a chance retire early (54) unexpectedly that summer in 2010 and got to use the Classic a lot more then I ever expected to.
