Enjoyed the demo ride in the new Puma STS. Amazing boat that they will sell as many of as the boys at the factory can make.

As for all the BassCat folks I met, I have nothing but extreme praise. Many thanks to Rick, Jason, Ken and most of all Bill Mayo (War Eagle buddy 😉 for helping me out with shortening my learning curve on driving the Eyra I purchased last year. Seeing Bill take her down the lake and let go of the wheel at 78 mph let’s me know the ability of these boats and the work I need to do to better my driving skills I couldn’t have asked for any more professionalism in the help them what these fellas told/showed me in helping me better my driving skills. I

Just made me feel good about why I chose a BassCat.

Thanks again guys! 😉

In all seriousness the first couple times loading the Eyra I was a bit off as well. Found that by sitting atop the drivers seat rest if helps get a better view, If that helps any.

Besides…gives me practice for sitting that way when they tow me around the arena after winning the 2025 Classic (insert hilariously laughing emoticon here )

PMantle – I used to have a 07 Classic (same hull as yours) and now a 2020 Caracal. To load at any ramp, I concentrate on the outside bunks only. A couple inches to 8-9″ of the front of outside bunks should be out of the water. If there is a strong cross wind, have more bunk out of water not less. With the trailer in as described, I approach trailer at idle speed and cut out of gear when bow gets to fender. Boat will start to climb bunks and settle. Once it settles, reengage prop and power to the roller. If start on bunks crooked, steer with power to straighten out first then use enough power to push boat up bunks to roller but not so much that you ram it. With the outside bunks a little out of the water, steep or shallow ramp, you should be able to get to roller and nose will be over roller not under like if you have trailer to deep. Bunks are designed to guide hull to where it needs to be if its parked in the right depth. A Fury 3 blade prop makes this a lot easier. Classic came with a Trophy Plus 4 blade and it was harder to load then with the Fury. Fury had a way better hole shot too. Had a 26P on my Classic (25 3 blade would have been better) and a 24P 3 blade Fury on the Caracal. Hope this helps.

When I first got my Classic I would end up with the keel on the side of the front roller almost every time. I stopped looking at the nose of the boat and instead started lining up my seat post hole with the grab bar, no issues with misalignment anymore.
