So was at Kentucky lake last weekend and our bilge pump quit working. I have a 13 Margay and I am getting action on the vision touch pad like it should work but nothing is happening. Right now all the other functions of the touch pad are working. I talked to Rich in parts and he said it is most likely the touch pad but I should troubleshoot the pump anyway. So I am not terribly mechanically inclined so I need some help here as I dont want to trailer to my dealer who is 2 hours away if I can do this myself. So my questions are1) Rich said turn the switch to the pump on and run a wire from the battery to the brown wire of the pump if it works then it is the touch pad. I have never done anything like this is their any risk to shorting anything else out by doing this? Also what kind of wire do I run from the battery to the pump?2) So if it is the vision touch pad is it as simple as peeling off the old one disconecting the ribbon and undoing the control module? I assume the new one comes as a complete package where I just install by doing the reverse?I know these are dumb questions but I have no experience with this kind of stuff and could use some help before I contact Rich again.thanks all.
