Thinking of changing prop on my margay. The boat just can’t get in the air and plows water. I think someone said they have a Croxton prop that performs well? Any feedback and good place to purchase in the Houston area?

I’ve tried a bunch of different props for my Margay with a Merc 115 Pro XS. I ended up driving myself crazy so I called Hydromotive Marine who I had heard on the Bass Talk Live talk show. I gave them all my numbers and measurements and they got me dialed in on my best setup through trial and error. I was really happy with their level of customer service. I ended up with a PowerTech prop that I ordered from them.

I had the same issues. Talked to Mark, and he recommended his Razor 4XL in 22P with extra cup. The change was noticeable instantly. I get so much lift now. But, it’s not as fast. WOT I am getting 60 at 5700. Could be engine height or small problem with engine, but I don’t want to go faster than that in a Margay.

I will be selling the boat soon, and will probably sell this prop and put the Tempest back on for the sale.
