Ive been without a Cat for a few years now and looking to get back into one. Im very interested in a Margay and have a few questions.1. Is there an option for a passenger console? Do you have a pic ? “wife” requires one ! I thought i saw a pic of one once but have been unable to find it.2. I still enjoy bass fishing but probably spend 75% of my time crappie fishing. Is it possible to add two more seat bases to front deck for side by side “crappie” fishing3. Will a Minnkota Ulterra mount to this boat ?4. Going to go with either a Merc 115 or 150 Four Stroke. Do you have any performance info on these combos? Thanks for any help regarding these questionsVic
I am pretty sure dual consoles are available. I would say an Ulterra can be mounted. I have a Terrova on my Pantera II and had one on my Sabre FTD. Go with the 150 Pro XS or the the Merc 150 Four Stroke. In the long run you will be glad you did..Dan
Dan. As far as your terrova, are you able to use the recessed area for the foot control or do you use it on the deck ? Thanks

ThanksI am pretty sure Sherm had Bass Cat build a filler that brings the foot pedal up to floor level but keeps it forward. Works & looks good, but 90% of the time I am using the remote.Dan
Here you go.
Ive had the opportunity to drive a margay with a 115 pro xs and a 150 pro xs. My dad bought a 2015 Margay with the 115 on it, was a nice ride but just wouldnt get up on pad and only topped out at about 40 mph. That was with one person in boat, put two in it and lucky to get 35. He wasnt happy so he traded in the 115 and put a 150 xs on it, BIG difference, have had it to 62 mph with two people loaded with gear. In other words, get the most horse power you can afford. Dad is very happy now and the 150 is a rocket! Plus the 150 will make it easier to sell if you should decide to sell or trade in the future. Thought Id share my experience with both motors on same boat. 150 all the way!
Thanks all ! Interesting look to the passenger console. Looks like its two pieces? hinged? For sure going with 150. Now if i can figure out the side by side seat bases i think i can talk the boss into one !! Been looking at aluminum boats mainly for this reason. Hope its something that can be done. Will probably have a dealer check into it for me. Might be something BCB doesnt want to discuss on this forum. Thanks again everyone.
No everyone has been busy with the NTC event and even the advertising staff that monitors this board has been on the run this week. You should be able to get side by side seat bases, though that is more of a factory question. They would probably want to do it on a build to order boat to reinforce that area. Sorry for the Delay!
Nothing to be sorry for on your part ! Understand the busy thing !! I sure didnt mean to come across as if i was upset or anything with you all. I should have worded things differently. My bad ! I have talked to a couple dealers and Im really in the beginning stages. Hope to be in a new Margay by spring if not sooner. Thanks to everyone
They are great running rigs with a very large deck for that category. The console is a one piece lower with a second top cap for the windscreen.
