So today upon getting back from fishing, I go to disconnect the trailer from the hitch ball. When I grabbed the tongue to give it a pull and get it off of the ball my hands were covered in brake fluid. It appers my master cylinder has blown. My two questions are, should I replace the entire actuator assembly or just do the master cylinder itself? Secondly, since this was leaking for a bit, the brake fluid has made the paint peel from the underside of the trailer. Does parts ssell the trailer paint in spray can form? Its the underside of the tongue so I guess worst case I can just clean, prime and spray paint it with something close in color since its not seen, just trying to prevent rust. I have a vacation next week and need to fix this asap before the road trip. is there anything besides the master that could be leaking? I couldnt see the line but mine are the nylon(?) style lines so theyre not rusted. Thanks guys.
