I took a guy for a demo ride today in my 14 Puma FTD/250Pro XS. He is a long time Skeeter owner and asked me to take him and show him what all the Basscat “talk was about. It was a good cool morning here in Arkansas so the Merc was feeling good. We had a half tank in both tanks with all my tackle, some of his, and about 400lbs of us. I held it at 80.4 for a mile or so and stopped to show him the livewells etc. He said he had never seen 80 mph in a boat and the ride was awesome but can it turn like a Skeeter? I grinned then took off again for some tight turns then showed him how slow we could go with the motor trimmed up and the boat woundnt start bouncing like others I have ran.He said he had no idea that a Cat would handle the way they do. I gave him H2Os number when he left and he said he was strongly considering a new Cat. Glad I had the opportunity to show off my Cat for someone that has never been in one. It was alot of fun. I couldnt be happier with mine.
