mercury gages

Hey guys, need to ask the ? on the different types of gages on the merc. motors. Im tearing up the Internet looking for a 2012 or 2013 puma ftd demo or inventory model. Not much out there at the moment but the two im on have beede gages, my 2010 puma has the smartcraft gages. I went online and the price of these gages are 30-40-50 bucks each, seems a little cheap to me too try and sell the high end cats with these gages. If I would purchase one of these pumas, would I have to check everything manually, and what about the alarms in the motor, does this mean there will be no more read out to follow? whats my options? THANKS! I would also like to ask all who know of any dealers that have a demo or new model to reach me please. Im trying to catch the 3+2+2 deal on the merc. warranty and sell my 2010 puma. captainaction14@yahoo.com

The base Beede gauges are standard equipment, Smart Craft was once an option, though was changed to Beede NexSysLink in 2011 we believe. The reason the gauges were rotated to another brand was to improve cosmetics with a glass lens. The previous gauge was an acrylic plastic lens and showed fogging in time. Dealers stock what they see fit and price on showroom floor is a factor to their costs. The cost of a Beede analog gauge is no different than any other base gauges offered by another manufacturer in costs. Some have a private label multi gauge which is custom, though actual cost is less than some single gauges in those clusters. The NexSysLink is the newer system offered by BCB. You can add either the Mercury Smart Craft MercMonitor or if you have Beede gauges a dealership could upgrade those to the Smart Craft gauges. We no longer offer SC gauges on Bass Cat, though we do on our Yar-Craft brand for trolling capability. The Merc Monitor gauge also gives you trolling as well as NMEA 2000 Output for graph screen gauges. Only the MercMonitor gauge has the NMEA full output, the base Mercury Smart Craft gauges do not.

Thanks bcb for the info, how about the dealer help on the 2013 demos or puma ftds please? need inside help, can only find two pumas at dealers

Where are you located? They are taking an unsold 2013 Puma FTD to the Classic with a 250 SHO Yamaha.

Hmm… So far:1. Sports Center in Perry, Georgia is worth a shot. 2. Riverside Marine in Old Hickory, TN has a Puma FTD.3. Sherms Marine has stock and some variety.4. Regal Marine in Hanceville, AL has a nice Premium model. 5. Sportsmans Center in the Lebanon, TN area was sitting on a Premium model. 6. Mare of Aquia has an Eyra, though no Puma FTD or Cougar FTD at this time. 7. 8. 9. …We are sure there are more within range of you we were not sure of and time was short today. Since your northeast we can have Steve Bosley do some homework for you. He is the NE Area rep for BCB. BCB
