I have a 2004 Mercury 200 hp EFI 3.0 L outboard on my Pantera III. I was asked the other day if it was the tall or wide model. I said wide but not having anything to compare it too Im really not sure. I know Mercury made a smaller block 200 hp EFI but that doesnt help me know what mine is. Just curious guys!! Thanks!!

Tall or wide? You got me. 3.0 is the big block 200 EFI. 2.5 was the previous version.

200 optimax is quite larger than a 200 efi , both are great engines in my opinion

It is both the tall and wide model. The other is a smaller block and a 2.5 EFI. BCB

3.0 efi is the same size as the optimax,the 2.5 is the smaller one but also a good outboard.I also have an 04 200 3.0 efi,fantastic outboard.

Thanks guys for the replies!! One more question. After I posted here yesterday I was looking on the Tuff Skinz web page and looked up a cover for my motor. When I clicked on EFI motors the drop down that popped up also asked for a wide or tall 200 hp EFI. Now which one do I order. I figured since they make covers for BCB they might be able to answer this. Thanks in advance!!!
