Does anyone know if it is ok to mix premium mercury oil with premium plus?I have plus in my Sabre but I found some bottles of mercury premium that I was wondering if I could mix in and get rid of.

You didnt say what engine you are running. Though it would be wise not to mix any oils that are of different viscosities, run as much oil out of the tank as your comfprtable with then fill up with the new oil. If running the opti then I would not go with the regular premium, stick with the preium plus.

I got one of the last EFI 150s left,09,I was curious about using the oil I had left over from my old merc 40hp which I sold in may.I noticed the oil tank is 9″ and the hatch is 9″.I wanted to move the oil tank out so I could move the starting battery forward so I could get a better view on the water level but it looks like its gonna be tricky to remove the tank.I tried using a mechanics mirror and light but could not see down in the cells ,sure would be nice if that hatch went all the way across the back.

Run that oil tank low before you mix those oils. They can clabber and string if they sit for long periods. BCB

I wouldnt run the old oil. I have the 150 efi as well – my Merc master tech told me to never run anything but premium plus. If you have an Academy or Gander Mountain nearby – you should be able to buy it (Quicksilver) at $18 per gallon. Motors are too expensive to take chances on the oil.
