Is any one storing a Cougar or a Puma in less than 23. I have 22 2″ of garage length. Any Ideas? A friend told me he keeps his in the same space by turning the motor to one side. Sold my PIV in December want to upgrade to a 250 Pro XS.Thanks,Scott
Youre going to have a hard time making that work I would think, but maybe, like you said turning the engine one way or the other and maybe angling the trailer some, you might get it done.
My garage is 20-7″x20 i have 09 puma with powerpole it will fit in at a angle.Last edited by driller on February 5th, 2010, 9:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Thanks for the ideas. Ward I think yours is the most feasible for me to do. I think I am going to just have to borrow it before I buy it and just see how tight it actually is. I am hoping Go Jacks and removing a piece of the Sheetrock gives me enough wiggle room. If I angle too much I end up in my wifes domain and well thats just not good. Not for me or the boat. With the Sheetrock removal on the back wall that should give me 22 8″. Im hoping I can absorb the remaining 4″ by turning the motor all the way to one side or the other. Anybody ever try going to the smaller jack plate? I believe they used a thinner one for the Verado?
You can go to the 3″ Plate and gain a full 5″ in length. And Mercs are shorter than Yamaha engines. Dont recall on BRP models. Probably when the shop is hummin again you can get a better answer than us.
