I am under the impression the one thing we as consumers need to do is fill out the warranty information card for Minn Kota trolling motors. Where is the serial number and model number located on the TM?Thanks!

I dont have the fortrex, but the numbers on mine are on the bottom side of the head in a small recess there.pant 2Bob

Bob, thanks for the follow up. However number are not there on my fortrex. There are some numbers or the piston cylinder but not sure if these are the correct numbers. Doesnt look like it to me. Someone will direct me.

They are not on the bracket, though the underside of the trolling motor head on a MotorGuide and up inside the foot pedal on a Minn Kota we believe. Yes you may have to remove your pedal to see the serial number. Welcome to our world! BCB

My Fortrex has the serial number on a silver sticker on the underside of the headBEN

Not there on my TM, July 2010 Head unit. Wish it was there like yours though.

mine was under the pedal on the side wall! You dont need to remove your pedal , just press the back end of it end you will see it under the front end !Last edited by marty on September 14th, 2010, 10:11 am, edited 1 time in total.
