Hi Guys, I am feeling really dumb at the moment! I fished the ABA team classic this last weekend prefish and first day weather was as perfect as one can get. The last day wind was blowing and fished in some really wonderful whitecaps. Boat took some water here and there, but during the last hour the trolling motor just quit. At first I thought maybe I didnt get a good charge. This morning after charging batteries I checked all and they show a full charge, but not getting any power to the plug. I figure it may be a breaker but damned if I can find one. I have a 2011 PII. Can anyone help me on this? I must say this has been the worse weather I have been in and after my 30 mile runs back and forth from launch to weigh in I have learned even more to appreciate this boat! Now my confidence in the drivers (me) abilities are in doubt.Thanks ahead of time.Steve “Gunz” Molina

Your trolling motor wiring coming off of your batteries you will see in line 50A breakers, there is a small push button on the side of the breaker, if its popped it will have a little bit of resistence pushing it back in. Also check your connections to make sure nothing came loose. After that, you should check the plug with a multi meter and verify your getting 24V at the plug (or 36v if you run a 36 volt system), if you have voltage at the plug, then your looking at a trolling motor issue, verify the momentary/continuous and on/off switch didnt get turned to off, if its in the on position and still no power then id bring it in for service, your troller should have a 2 year warranty.

Thanks for your help, I thought that might be the breaker but until I pulled up the picture of it and saw where that little tiny black button was. haha Bad eyes. Reset and now works, thanks again. You ever get to S.Cal we will go fishn!Steve “Gunz” Molina

You were probably running the trolling motor at a high speed, right?You should get a few spare shortstops and put them in your emergency case on board. Once they start popping, they seem to be more apt to have it happen frequently.
