Hey guys about three wks ago I threw a blade on the prop and it took a good size chunk out of the fin looking thing above the prop we have an old mariner 200 and was wondering if somebody might know anybody in the northwest Arkansas area to weld a piece back in there or would I need a whole new lower unit or is it repairable by welding???

Thats the cavitation plate. Some you can weld. Some you cant. Theres a Tig?(not mig) I believe welder in NLR that does this. I think its called Johns welding. Call H2O on Monday and ask Larry Morris. Last edited by clownshoes on June 25th, 2012, 2:18 am, edited 1 time in total.C.O.D. Jr. III

Swann and i cashed a check last week up there on your pond. Nothing outstanding for up there. 16.81 i think. I just did what jerry williams told me to do with a few adjustments by Doug.C.O.D. Jr. III

Clayton, you can call H2o or the other place Ward mentioned, “Johns Welding”. Its just a couple miles from our house. Thanks poppa al!!!! Haha I wanted to take it to h2o but dad said it was too far I think he knows a guy up here that can do it..Im getting the graphs on Tuesday!!
