Looking for some input on replaceing my motor battery on 2006/Sabre w/150 XR6, It now has a group27 is it possible to add a larger battery with out making any large modifications.I have been useing an Interstate marine battery and have had good luck with them but wanting to try something different. And by the way what else does the starter battery power up other than the motor. Any help would be appreciate. Duane

On this particular size of boat a 27 should do a good job, unless your loaded with electronics and options.

I am the secound owner and I have made no add on to the battery system it should be factory stock on the starter motor Battery.Thanks BCB for your fast reply.

Now I know this next question could be a loaded question but would like some input on the brand of battery. Was also wondering if the on board charger would work on an agm style battery.One of the agm batterys, Looked like a dry cell and if that is the case I thought the type charger I have on my 2006 would not charge a dry cell.
