Is it possible to adjust the footpedal? Its noticeably stiffer to tilt forward and backwards then my MK setups Ive had on my previous boats. Any suggestions will be appreciated.Thanks – Fly

Tom, if you have the owners manual for the Motorguide, on page 13 (in my manual) there is a tension adjusting screw. You need a phillips screwdriver and a wrench (forget the size, it tells you in the manual) To get to it, push the pedal with the heel down. If you dont have the manual, you can read it in a PDF format. Just go to the Motorguide website.

Flyswatter,I have have never had to adjust the tension on a foot pedal but I have had to unscrew the foot pedal from the floor and untwist the cables that go from the foot to the head to make it easier to turn. Do not forget that there are two cables on a Tour Edition and if you get them twisted they will be harder to maneuver the food pedal. You might give that a try before you adjust the tension.Thanks,Mike Coffee

Flyswatter, get you some Tri-flow and use a syringe or oil dropper to slowly lube the cables as they are pretty dry new. Remove it from the bracket and have someone help hold it while you oil the cables and work the pedal. The pedal angle is adjusted by twisting the head itself in the mount. You can further tension the cables after you get it lubed and take up slack. The tensioners are on the front of the foot pedal.
