So Im thinking about going from a Minn Kota Edge to a Motorguide X5 on my 02 Sabre. Can anybody give me an idea of what kind of deck clearance Ill be looking at with the X5 in the stowed position? Right now I can only put a few rods on the port side and have to put them at a sharp angle to get my Edge in the stowed position. ThanksSent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I cant get reels even close. Im guessing 1.5″ clearance for me.

Go Minn Kota in ProMax for a value oriented troller. Then ForTrex next.

Get the X5 and get one of these, you wont have to worry about clearance for your rods and it locks the trolling motor down.http://www.basscatstore.com/thmarinetro … rlock.aspx

I got too good of a deal on this X5 to pass up. After thinking about it, its not that big of a deal. It cant be worse than the clearance I had with the Edge. Thanks for the input everyone. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
