Mount things inside of your boat

I have a 2000 Basscat Cougar. What is the recommended mount hardware for mounting a Battery charger, a terminal strip, etc.. I assume everything should be stainless steel, but what size screws, how long? Do not want to find a screw hole on the outside if you know what I mean :)Thanks

In no way can we comment on that as it varies based on location and variance from factory. There are a variety of thicknesses and materials with the factory is extremely cautious on suggestions for mounting aftermarket items .

Wanted to mount a new batter charger on the transom of a 2000 Cougar, didnt want to go too small and have it fall off and didnt want to go to big and be an overkill 🙂

Did your 2000 Cougar have a transom mounted charger originally from the factory? If so you can make a plate a little larger than your new charger is and mount it in those original screw holes. Then mount your new battery charger onto the plate that you made. Ive done that before and it worked out real well.

In the archives there are some neat ideas on mounting chargers. I will be doing the same thing this winter.
