Did not get to go to OI, But the family and I are planning a 3-4-5 day vacation and was thinking about heading to Mountain Home and have never been there. We looked at a few places and liked Teal Point and the Rocking Chair?(I Think!) How are these places? Are they on the water? How is the fishing last week of June? Can I take a tour of the factory? Just need some suggestions please. I know after the OI everyone has a good opinion. There will be probably 4 of us. Thanks Yall.

Teal Point is very nice. They do have boat slips for each cabin but you have to drive down very steep hill (about 3/8 of a mile) to get to the slips. Its a very steep Hill. Since Norfork is Core of Engineer lake there are no houses on the lake. I would recommend Teal Point. The people are nice and the cabins are clean. Enjoy your trip. misr12

Teal Point is close to town, have their own ramp (public) & dock facility. They keep it clean and are professional people. All ramps on the lake are public. BCB

Teal Point looked like the right spot, But the important thing what will the fish be doing at that time. I dont have but about 40 of line on any of my stuff so I hope it wont be fishing 100 on a drop shot. LOL! Thanks again WRC.

I agree with misr! Teal Point was very nice and clean. Their docks are big and have an open area at the end for a picnic or for your kids to fish from. I will be staying there the next time I go. Cabin 10 has a whirpool bath for your wife to enjoy while youre fishing with the kids.

Actually going up there this evening. My brother decided to go up there yesterday…..insisting he is going to get more time up there exploring the lake. Should be a nice trip, havent hooked up with him since 07 OI.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
