Mounting a Switch in the Dash

I have a Carling switch from Bass Cat that I need to mount in the dash. What is the best way to make the rectangle hole in the dash without messing up any of the gel coat/fiberglass? What method/tool is the best to use?

I mount one in my other cat. I taped area. I drilled all four corners but not directly in the corners.with a small bit. I used a Dremel with a carbide cutter. Working slowly.2013 PANTERA 2MERCURY 200 PRO XSMINNKOTA 80LB FORTREX25 fury

Mask the area with tape. Then layout the hole on the tape and drill the four corners INSIDE the layout lines as described above.The choice of tools to cut the hole range from a Dremel (mentioned above) a RotoZip Tool, a Saber saw, or a coping saw or keyhole saw.
