Im planning to mount a golden rule under the console on my 08 Cougar FTD in the same place as the 09 models. Ive looked all over the boat, and this just seems the most convenient yet out of the way place for it (of course it is, its where BCB decided to stick it!) Only problem is, I have the “fishnet” map pocket and it has to go in order to mount the rule. It looks to me like this map pocket is riveted in place. My assumption is that Ill have to carefully drill out the rivets, install the rule, then dab a little silicone in any open holes. Im thinking Ill thru-bolt the rule mount, but havent totally dismissed double stick tape.
