Hey guys, I am mounting a new x510c on the bow of my 96 PII. All I have is the flasher up there now and I am wondering where to tap into a power source on the bow? Do I wire into the accessory power switch? Ideas and suggestions accepted……..B
I bought my 92 Sabre from an older gentleman that didnt know much about electronics and only had a flasher on the bow of the boat. Right or wrong, I tapped into the power for the flasher when I mounted my color graph on the bow. I never use the flasher at the same time as the graph anyway so it works fine for me and my application. I have a 93 PII and there was a wire there already that is powered up when I turn my main switch on. I bet there is an extra wire up there already, if not tie into the flasher power wire.
I just put a X510c on my 95 PII two weeks ago. You can run the power cord into the drain under the recessed troller pedal and then take off the front panel and wire it into the accessory switch. Or you can drill a hole through the panel next to the battery gauges and wire into the accessory switch. If you do this make sure you caulk around the hole you drilled. LOZman
Thanks BCB, I used the acc switch for power. LOZman, I luv the color combo since i saw the first pic before i bought her. Just as pretty today as ever. Boat came out of S Ill and I am the third owner.
