After trying to find that great opportunity to move to that next level in career for close to a year now I have finally found it in Shreveport, LA. The best part of the job move is that I grew up in Shreveport. Will be moving the family there soon after Christmas (if and when I can sell the house in the HORRIBLE market in Houston). Now for the important part of this post, I am very familiar with most of the lakes in Northwest LA and I will be wanting to fish tournaments starting this spring. Any of you BCBers know of any of the tournament trails in Shreveport/Bossier City? and is anyone looking for a fishing partner? Thanks and looking forward to getting back home.Tony Digilormo214-914-4190ndyankees5@yahoo.com2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
Reeves Marine in Shreveport has a trail. Im pretty sure its a team trail. V&M Lures is doing a trail up that way as well. Then you have Media individuals and teams and Fishers of Men Teams. You can google any of those and get info. Bryan P4.
What kind of tournament trail are you looking at. Are you wanting club, regional, or national level. We have it all here. BASS federation and some FLW tournaments. Big money circuts around Toledo Bend and Sam Raybarn. ABA, Media, and RMTT are local mid level circuts. Many club and open tournaments to fish. If you have the time you could fish something every weekend from Jan thru Nov and during the summer there are several Thrusday evening circuts.ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Tony glad to hear you found the opportunity you have been looking for.Being in your home town makes it that much sweeter, I know youve been looking forward to getting back home for awhile. This means Ive got to find another tournament partner and I just about had you trained . Wish you and your family all the best if I can help you in any way let me know.Ronny
Ronny—Thanks for the well wishes and thanks for answering all of my questions regarding my cat these last couple of years. You never know I might sneak back down and we can put one more whooping on the boys on Lake Houston. Keep throwing that C-Rig…I told you it catches fish!Elwood—I would really be interested in some of the evening tournaments up there. I have been fishing a circuit down here in Houston on Tuesday nights from 6-9pm every week. Something like that would be perfect. If you know of something like that let me know. Thanks.2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
There are three locally…..the largest it the Cross Lake TNT, 100 plus boats, the next would be the Red River TNT with 30-50 boats, and there should be one one Bistinue this year that is expected to have up to 30 boats a week. Hours for each tournament is adjusted as the days get longer as they start when the time changes and end in Jul-Aug. Entry fees are in the $50.00 range.ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
Elwood,Thanks for the info. Which ones do you fish and which one is most competitive? Also, when do these kick off for the year?Tony D 2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
The Cross lake TNT is by far the most competitive….I have fished this one for the last 6 years and it is tough to do well. It only pays through 4 places no matter how many fish (makes for a good pay check if you win) so with the pay out it attracts a large and talented crowd. The other tournaments are no less competitve but have less participation. They will all test your skills as a angler.ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
