Nice work! As Aruss1984 mentioned, if you didnt put something behind the fiberglass, while it may not be necessary, it will give you piece of mind in the long run. If you can get your hands on a piece of 1/8″ aluminum that is a little bigger than the plate you made, drill it to the same hole pattern as the plate, and thru-bolt it with #12 machine screws and lock nuts, it will withstand any water you will ever drive through! I did something similar on a previous boat, and if my Eyra doesnt sell soon, Ill keep it another season and I will be building a similar bracket for me to upgrade from a HB 999SI to a Helix 12. One more thing to consider if you havent already done it; Put a VERY small bead of silicone around the perimeter of the hole. This will not only keep moisture out, but most importantly, keep the mount from shifting and scratching the gel, if the screws were to come loose due to vibration. While the flush mount units look awesome on BCB consoles, addidng a mount most definitely gives the driver much more flexibility, especially when running 2 units like youre doing.
