In addition to being an avid fisherman in the fall, winter, and spring, Im very active in the competitive waterski community. Weve got a pretty tight group in the Malibu boat owners site as well…very similar to the BCB site. One of the things both groups have in common is that some of the members are fortunate enough to be able to afford whatever they want for their hobby while others have to really scrape just to get by while doing what they love. Over on the Malibu site, weve had a running “Freebie thread” for years where folks offer up things for free to others who are in the group. Its normally first come, first serve. The idea behind this thread is that many of us have may have stuff thats just sitting around that we never use, but we cant stand the thought of throwing it out. Giving it over to a fellow BCB member that might get some use out of it would give us that warm fuzzy that many of us crave. So heres how it works – you offer something up for free, shipping included. If you see something that you like, then the only stipulation is that you offer something to the thread in return. If you dont have anything to offer the thread, then you need to offer some shipping money for the trouble.
