MYSTERY – Please help me identify 12 volt outlets found on 1994 Pantera 2

Hi folks -Im hoping that someone might help me identify the name of the 12 volt outlets found on the 1994 Pantera 2. They arent the standard cigarette type outlet. It has three round prongs in it. One outlet is found on the passenger side of the boat – and the other is in front of the drivers console. Im trying to identify the name of the outlet so that I can buy a USB adapter to plug into it so that I can run my Go Pro camera. I have pictures – but cant figure out how to attach them to this message.Your help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks.

Those are Marine Electrical plugs and the factory should have male power plugs in stock.

sounds like they are plugs for aftermarket black lights.you may be able to replace with newer style units if neededTreat everyday like it might be the last

I have a light and a 12 volt plug on the side of the drivers console. I have not tried to plug anything into it yet, but I cannot get the light to work no matter what I do. There doesnt seem to be a switch that I can find that turns it on and off and it also does not operate on the nav/anchor selector. Another thing to have the local service place check out. lol

There is no switch and they were hard wired.

Ed, If you are talking about the white rectangular light for inside the boat, then the light itself flips up and down like the vents for your cars A/C. They should come on automatically when flipped. If they do not turn on then you need to removed the lens and clean the contacts by scuffing them up with a fingernail file. Took me a long time to figure that out.

There is a bronze wheel inside the light assembly that corrodes.

Thanks for your responses. Does the male plug have a usb port on it? If not – what are my options for converting the outlet into a usb port?

That was 1993-94 and it danged sure was long before USB ports. It was before Windows 95 to put it in perspective we used Windows 3-1 in those days.

Thanks Cliff and BCB. Ill check the light tomorrow while cleaning the gravel dust off the boat from this weekends amazing trip to the lodge owned by http://www.landbigfish.com, who is a sponsor of our wounded warrior group, Kentucky Pro Bass Warrior. I did check the 12 volt outlet and it does not work, either with or without the acc button on.
