Need a little help. Compartment lights are possessed!!!

Ok so i show up to fish early and turn my master power on. I opened the rod compartment and no lights. I then open the other side and nothing. I used a flasj light to get stuff out and shut the lid. Then I pull stuff out of the other compartments and all of a sudden the lights come on. Then tonight I go out there to get something out of the boat and open the lid and the lights come on. Only thing is the main power switch is off. Everything was working normal and all of a sudden this happened. I do have the security system in the boat and have read that that might be a problem but I am not sure. Any suggestions? Would it be possable for someone at Bass Cat to take a look at it when I am down for the OI? Thanks for any help!!

Yes, they can check it atthe Owners Invitational, if you get to the factory in daytime hours.

I appreciate the fast response. After 1000 at night and BCB is still hard at it. This is my first Bass Cat and the help and service is secound to none!!!

Same sort of subject—on my Puma 2010 tried to turn on security, red LED came on ,but there was no alarm when compartment was opened. I thought that was how it was suppose to work! Also what is the Acc. Basscat button for on that same system. This is a new year so maybe Iforgot something! Help

Had the same problem, it was a connection under the dash to the touch pad ( the one on the left Security, Pump Out…) Just make sure all are connected well. I was about to replace it, thought I checked all of the connections, checked them again, and found it. Have not had a problem since. Hope it works for you!

sometimes if you open your lids slowely it seems like the mercury switches dont rock and let hte lights come on so I just give the lid a sharp hit right by the mercury switch and that usally works for mine.Treat everyday like it might be the last

the acc switch on mine turns on lights in live well

i have had trouble with 07 Puma since it was Brand new. the compartment lights all work off a ground wire attached to ea compartment lid/hinge. check all the wires that are attached to the hinge (Ground wire) I have to go through all mine once a year to keep them working.

Thanks all ,will be down there so maybe someone a the factory can help. No doubt that will happen cause I have had nothing but first class service from Rick and the boys at the plant. They ARE the BEST!
