They will try to steer you to a complete assembly for replacement which is suggested. Over time the owners of BCB have seen the shaft housing split on the helms when they use new cables to old helms. Plus there is some minor gear wear there also that doesnt mesh, that could have been the reason for the housings failing also. Get a complete system and enjoy your rig. If you lubricate them well before you install them and get hem lubed up inside the jacket, they will last you decades from here. BCB
