I have been running a 26 Fury on this boat for over 3 season now. Hole shot seem to always be a slow . Now this weekend it seem terrible. 2 guys TX load and both tanks 1/2 full of gas. Live wells full of water . It seem like it took a very unsafe time to get out of the hole . ( could not see over bow ) three large holes in prop from factory . Water temp was 68-72. Air temp was 70-93 didnt make a difference . upstate Connecticut. atlas hydraulic jack plate. was trying all different heights . could find any faster way to break over and jump up on pad. once up ,runs like I stole it.2014 Puma FTD 250 XS
Over a 3 year period a prop can change. It can have small knicks and abrasions that are not noticeable but rob you of performance. If nothing else has changed on the boat itself, my opinion would be to have the prop worked (possibly have additional vent holes drilled) or try a 25 Fury.Jim EbarbMany, LA (Toledo Bend Lake)2004 Cougar/ 225 OptimaxHumminbird Helix 12 Chirp SI on BalzOut Mount at bowLowrance HDS 7 at bowHumminbird Helix 12 Mega SI on Ram Mount at ConsoleLowrance HDS 8 in dash at console
Sounds like a bad coil, after you break over does she run ok? I had the same problem , my buddy had to get on bow to break over, after that it ran ok. Took it to dealer after that and it was a bad coil.
