need help with prop selection

I am running a 25 tempest on my 03 sabre xr6 combo, and it gives me a couuple more mph than the 23 did, it would all depend on what your goals are. I am hoping to try a 24 trophy soon and see how it runs, TNSabre was running a 25 trophy before he upgraded to a P2 so it kind of all depends on your needs and particular set up

luvtofish pretty much summed it up. All depends on your goal and what youre after. I would think you would need to try a 24 w/ what youre currently turnning the 23. I could turn my 23 over 6000 pretty easy.

Im running a 23P Tempest on a 2002 Sabre, with the MERC XR6 150. I run about 5900rpms. I am adding a 6″ hydraulic jackplate. As is, the whole shot is great, feels like the boat tops out at about 60 mph now.With the addition of a 6″ hydraulic jackplate, and already running 5900 rpms, should I get the 24p or the 25p? If either, anyone got a good used prop for sale?Thanks, Craig Graham

Got a 09 Puma with 225 ProXS….26 Fury…awesome hole shot…will run 74.9 with just me and 20 gallons of fuel. Still has great hole shot loaded with livewells full and two people…tops out loaded about 72.5. Rpms lag a bit at 5700…other than that, awesome prop.

25 or 26 Fury should be what youre looking for. A 25 if youre currently turning less than 6000 rpms. A 26 if youre in the rev limiter now.

A better discription Of when and how the “blow out” occurs would help better ID this. On a trophy you may have ventilation on hole shot at break over. True Blow Out is on top end only. Add one size smaller PVS plug in two holes is a start.

Does the trophy have to use a the plastic ring like the Renegade to prevent the blowout?
