Bass Cat used the thru hull, the 1″ splash well drain, way prior to the install of the jackplate. The outlet on the splashwell is covered as that is a center drain. It makes it cleaner to put those wires through the drain and unfortunately after this all wires will not make the bend with the plates attached. The option is to run those outside the plate as you learned. There would be no option other than adding a second hole, which would be weaker, or dropping down out of the harness covering. BCB
