Glad you are enjoying the Owners Board and we hope you enjoy a new Cougar Advantage Elite for many years to come! BCB
I also have owned many bass boats. I can say my version of “Feel The Rush” has to be knowing that everyone from Rick, to the last person who leaves the plant at night actually APPRECIATES me being part of the family. I dont hear it, I FEEL it. That “Feel The Rush” may be a tad different for a Cougar rider with a beast 250XS hanging off the tail. You need one of those old “Sit Down, Shut Up, and Hang On” stickers for a rig like that. Welcome to the family, and remember I warned you, Spoiled Rotten you will be!!!
Thanks JM17, we really do appreciate each and every owner of a BCB. We just want people to be treated as we feel they should be and we want to be. It is a simple practice. We too have our rough edges, though we try to smooth them off. BCB

And thanks for helping me in making my choice on what new boat to buy. I have been researching new boats for 1 year or more. After reading what the positive coments that I read from this site helped in my choice. A new cougar Avt. with 250 Pro XS.on it will do it for me. Im not new to bass boats. This will be my 4th boat . It should be coming in to the boat dealer next week. Cant wait.Last edited by MERCURY NUT on March 25th, 2008, 9:26 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Congratulations on your BCB purchase. I would call Simon in Parts at 870-481-5135. A trim gauge and psi do need to be installed to the Trim Sending unit ( located on your Motor), and the Psi to your motor. These can be added by most do it yourselfers out there. If you need help call me at 920-295-2069 Brannon $$$$ wise it should only be $150-225 for your parts. Your Signature …
Welcome from another newbie. Picked mine up last week. 2007 P Classic. Lots to learn but this board is amazing. The only one Ive ever seen where the boat company monitors the board and pitches in with info daily if not hourly. The vets dont make fun of us rookies either and are happy to help with questions. BCB is impressive to say the least. And I havent even been on the water yet!
Water Pressure is there if it has Smart Craft. If not then you will have to run a mechanical gauge with a hose from the engine or an optional link gauge from Mercury. The Trim gauge wires are there. BCB
It has a Smart Craft emblem on the Mercury..so I assume it has it….not real sure what Smart Craft is. Trim would be my first option to add since WP is alarmed. Any help on identifying which wires might be for what? Looking under the console, there are several wires that are not terminated. The other gauges appear to have a common white and black that I would assume to be power and other color or colors that I would assume to be providing input to the gauges. Thanks for the input everybody, this is awesome to ask a question on here and have the manufacturer chime in. All my buddies told me the you could not beat the customer support from BCBs.
miller0303, That would have little LCD screens in there if they were Smart Craft. The mode button toggle them and you should have everything you want in the gauges if they are Smart Craft. BCB
Miller0303Go to the Mercury web site and you can find and read/download the Smart Craft owners manual. You will really like the gauges if thye are Smart Craft, you can monitor water pressure and trim.
