Just ordered a 2014 boat with humminbird electronics which were 1198 and 998 but just saw in a catalog that for 2014 they are not offered. The 1198 is now 1199 and 998 is 999. Was wondering if new boats are coming with updated models? My boat hasnt gone into production yet and was just wondering what would be on boat.

Sonar equipment seems to be like so many electronics. They are always coming out with something new. The Latest & Greatest Ya know!Dan

The way I understand it is the 1199 and 999 are HD (high def) units.I would contact your dealer and make sure BCB is installing the HD units in your new boat.

The units are shipping as the 998 and 1198 series is flushed out from Johnson/Humminbird. We recently started receiving some of the newer units and they were scheduled to ship mid January. This holds true for the 112 pound ForTrex also as we have not received our first unit yet.

Thanks guys, Im thinking my will come with the new models since its not supposed to start production until after the first of year.

FYI, Those two high-end H/B units, 1199 and 999, are on sale on the H/B online for sale page!!
