I just bought a new to me 91 Pantera 2 with a Mariner 150. The guy I bought the boat from was in the process of replacing the carpet, so all of the lids are off and all carpet and glue are removed. While I still have all of the lids off and before I put the carpet in, I want to really try to clean the white boat of some “stains”. I also want to see if I can get that shine back to it. Any tips for cleaning and shining would be greatly appreciated. Next question: The boat has been sitting in storage for a while. I ran the boat last night for a while just to see how it would run. I could only get about 4500 RPMs. Where should I begin looking to get into the 5300 to 5500 RPM range. It has a 4 blade prop, but I did not see any markings on it, so I dont know what brand or pitch the prop is at this time. I may have to take the prop off and look inside the hub or around the rim. I thought about putting a Hot Foot on to see if that would help. The throttle box is not in the best shape on the boat. Any thoughts or help here would be appreciated. I am sure that I will have a lot more questions. Thanks in advance for any support you guys can give me.
