It is a simple fix on the cushion area, which must be inserted to keep the lip from flapping. We had to design something that would allow the cushion to come out simply, and still seal the upper cooler trim seal to the lid over it. This is a simple installation. We understand your thoughts on the cooler lid and appearance, though this was a finished product with an improved appearance of the enclosure. The cushion could sit there without a cover, though we wanted to have something over it. We felt the cushion could mildew, and that it would not be proper for it to not have a cover over it.
